Went the other night and ordered a shrimp and a separate beef meal. The shrimp were mushy, way overcooked. The beef was undercooked in the other meal and was just bland. This place was better in the past, but the past few months the meals have tasted bad. Don't think I will be going back. On a side note, a few of the long timers no longer work there. Not sure if this is related to the poor quality/taste of the food lately.

Although I have lived in the area for nearly 20 years somehow I missed this little gem. While there are a number of Chinese places opening in the neighborhood this us, by far, the best. Yes, the decor is dated. But they seem to do a much bigger carry out ( and delivery ). And I'd rather have dated decor with awesome food any day of the week. We've had the shrimp fried rice and sweet and sour pork recently. Both were with generous portions and delicious. Their soups are tasty and the egg rolls are AWESOME. Definitely a huge step up from the others that are cropping up on 210. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

In the middle of my meal and if not tired hungry I would go throw it at them. my crew and I are traveling for work and ordered to our hotel, not one pepper in the general tsos and one tiny piece of broccoli, the fried rice is white, and flavorless. the two liter was delivered warm, the wonton soup, is literally odorless and tasteless. plus for three meals they sent two packets of soy sauce and two duck sauce, the pot stickers aren't too bad but again barely any sauce. to any road weary travellers heed my warning this place is terrible, and I worked all day, had coffee for breakfast and missed lunch. I suspect any positive reviews were written by employees. if you find yourself in indian head mountain, looking for delivery, save your money, and more than likely your intestines the next day, and just order dominos

Best hot and sour soup I have ever had. I agree with other reviewers who say the decor is dated. I don't come here for the decor, though. I usually order the Crispy Thai Hing Chicken. Sweet, spicy, crunchy...awesome. They have the best egg rolls and spring rolls. Oh, and the crab rangoon, flaky and delish, not hard and tough like some places. My food experience has been consistently better than other chinese restaurants, leaving this my very favorite chinese restaurant in Charles County. Edited because I forgot to mention the staff. (Give me a break, my dinner was getting cold while I typed!) They are always kind and welcoming, frequently asking how everything is or if I need anything without being invasive. Perfect combination of courtesy and timely service. Bonus: My beverage is always refilled before it becomes empty.

Just about the only place besides dominos that will deliver to our house. The food was pretty good. Large quantities. So we had a lot left over. We ordered the beef Lo mien and the Orange chicken and were good choices. Ordered the soup and it was massive. Will probably not order as much next time.

Pretty solid choice given that it's Bryans Road. I mainly get appetizers like the spring rolls and the Thai curry dishes every time (red, green yellow curry). The restaurant itself needs a facelift but I usually order to go anyhow. Generous portions and way more delicious than the other take-outs around. Worth a stop!

My dad used to take us here for dinner on special occasions when we were younger. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants of all time, and I'm glad to see that 20-some years later it's still in business. The staff is very nice and accomodating, and the food is awesome. My favorite dishes are the wonton soup and the moo shi shrimp. If you're in the mood for Chinese and are in the area, definitely give it a try!

After reading another users glowing review of this place I decided to give it a try. I usually drive an extra 10 minutes to get my Chinese and I always pass this restaurant on my way. My boyfriend and I decided we would give it a try and see if it was as good as the other user had said and see if we could find a new fav chinese place that is closer to drive to. We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was huge and completely empty. It had dated decor and did not appear to be the cleanest. But we decided to give it a try anyhow...and we ordered carryout We both got the dinner combination. I got Chicken with Broccoli and my boyfriend General Tsao's. My boyfriend said that his was "ok". My chicken with Broccoli was completely flavorless. The chicken was fresh but the sauce was like colored water. FLAVORLESS!! But The thing that disturbed me the most and is the reason why I will not be giving this restaurant a second chance was that the rice had a disgusting odor to it. They served plain white rice with the combo and it smelled like mildew. I could not eat it and was actually frightened to do so. I definitely will not be giving this restaurant a second chance.

Food is very good but restaurant's decor sure could use an update and thorough cleaning. I use to eat here way back in the 90's but moved and only returned to the area very recently. I don't think the interior has changed at all since then.

Great food and extremely affordable. The place is clean and new feeling and the service is excellent. 6$ buffet's make it a great idea for lunches. A large restaurant considering the population of the city.

Nothing special. The food isn't bad, but not very impressive either. I have ordered different dishes and the sauce tastes like it is all the same, but the vegetables were different. I don't like the fried rice and the plain rice tends to be dry. Even though it is close I probably won't go back.

Host staff is nice enough. The food is comparable to other Chinese food places. I feel the prices are slightly higher and food less tasty then others.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
